Day 56

Walked 1.5 miles at lunch, going to work late tonight then to parents, so that will be it for today, but will walk tomorrow, no off day to adjust. Looking forward to a fun weekend, going to see browns v bengals. Go Bucks, keep that train a rolling Saturday.

Day 53/54/55

Crazy busy week, but in good way, got stuck at work didn't walk on monday. Walked 4+ miles yesterday in 1hr20min. Going to concert tonight, so no walking, but will make up for it tomorrow and this weekend. Going to Shelby this weekend, visit Callie's family and go to Browns v Bengals game with her brother. Will get plenty of walking in around Shelby and stay on track for the bucks.

Week 5 picks

My goodness I’ve gone back and forth on whom to pick and at what point level this week more than I do typically in 5 weeks. Probably going to second guess myself into a 30 pt week, but maybe I’ll get lucky and catch those 200 pt people.

10pts – Nev wins, well this is the team Steve and others keep telling me is going to throw mighty Boise St down and stomp on them, so the runnin rebels should be pushovers?! I guess, the WAC sucks!!

9pts – Okla wins, um yeah tejas is bad and even inconsistent boomer sooner should win ‘aunt flow’ shootout.

8pts – NCst wins, here is another case of the ‘experts’ saying how great ncst is and to ‘look out’ for them, so they should be able to take down va tech right? I ought to have my head examined for having this an 8 pt game.

7pts – Bama wins, I so wanted to pick this as a 1 pt game and pick Florida, but even my hate of Urban and wanting to jinx him can’t make me pick against bama. Honestly the way fla has played this shouldn’t even be close. Anyone picking fla this week is taking a shot at a big come back with an unlikely upset. The only reason this isn’t my 10 pt game is because I believe Urban may have a deal with the devil? Anyway, bama got their scare last week, fla has no off (at least compared to what they are used to having) I say bama wins going away 38-17.

6pts – Iowa wins, psu gonna find going thru bigten with freshman qb a bumpy ride, but they are showing promise so I’d give them a slight chance, but on the road gives Iowa the edge.

5pts – Uga wins, when will I learn my lesson? Probably never, uga bad, but not Colorado bad! Enjoy all that power that the buffs bring to your conference next year Pac10, what a score?!

4pts – FSU wins, well the hooves aren’t bad like last year, but probably (even at home) not ready to beat improved free shoes U, but could happen so kept this one low.

3pts – Wisc wins, hmmmm sparty didn’t choke after big win so maybe sparty is fo’real? Who knows, we all will this week. Giving edge to team whose coach will be on sideline, but this could go either way.

2pts – N’west wins, minn bad bad bad, but N’west will always be purple power so can’t pick them real high cause anything can happen in these stupid little 8 match ups.

1pt – Oregon wins, man I still like fighting Nikes a lot, but that damn Harbum scares me and he has a good QB. Harbum is the main reason I hope richrod wins just enough (everyone but the bucks) to keep his job, cause buckeye nation does NOT want to see Harbum snarl his teeth for the winged helmets again. Like Steve I hate the guy, but I hate Urban Meyer and know he’s good. Hate does not mean lack of respect.

Speaking of richrod, this week ought be very interesting for them and tell how bad that defense really is and weather or not it’s going to cause problems in their bigten schedule. Indiana still feels hosed from the last meeting and has a very good offense. Honestly aside from the buck’s obvious challenges (mich, iowa, wis, psu) Indiana is the game that makes me most nervous in the ‘should be easy win’ games. They have an offense that can score and that is always dangerous. Fortunately we have them at home and their defense is still Hoosier quality, but richrod gets them on the road and looks not to have a defense either. This game should be entertaining, explosive, and educational.

Steve, Slackman, the lade, and I went to the 73-20 ass whooping Saturday and had a blast! I know I’m in the minority, but I (and my cardiologist) love those games, sometimes it’s nice to have a nice easy win. Hope offense can keep producing points as we role thru the bigten, don’t need 73, but if you give me 30+ each week I’ll like our chances. Oh and 1 last thing, I guess the numb nuts calling the game on TV Saturday called the Shoe ‘the big house’? How the F do you cash you paycheck after that blunder? What morons?!!

Side note for you NASCAR peeps, go smoke get me three wins in a row at Kansas this week and get me back on track for a 3rd straight series championship!!

Day 51/52

Didn't walk yesterday, but did probably walk 2-3 miles down at shoe on saturday so I figure got about 6 in over weekend total, so way ahead. Great time at game saturday, now been to 3 70+ pt games in my life!! Not sure if I will walk with dog or play wii today, but will get something done. Also had great time chillin with family at my cousins 40th bday party, nice to catch up with everyone and have some great food and enjoy some nice fall weather.

Saturday, September 25, 2010

Day 50

Got up early traded vehichles with J and then went and walked for about 45 minutes, probably about 2.5 mi, going to get more walking in today.... Going to the bucks game!!! Ummm not the best opponent, but alway love going to the shoe and hopefully will be a semi-stressless game. Go Bucks!!!!

Friday, September 24, 2010

Day 48/49

Walked a mile yesterday at lunch, that was it for the day and today be the off day. Going to get in 3-4 miles saturday morning to get me on schedule for the week. Then going to the game this week, yay! and that will be more walking. Go bucks!!

Thursday, September 23, 2010

Day 47

No walking, got my tires (barely) during storm 2. Seems we have a fall every 3-4 years where storms are nasty, this year starting to look that way, booooo!!! Going to walk some today at lunch and then play some wii when I get home tonight.

Wednesday, September 22, 2010

Day 46

Went to park, didn't walk around lake today, walked part of the bike path from antrim down to whetstone and back (about 4.5 mi) in 1hr20min. Going to have to either today or tomorrow take care of some tire issues so walk extra to compensate. Will get my 12 miles in for the week even if I have to do it in 1 or 2 days.

my actual picks for wk 4

Guess the Bigten is still the Bigchoke! Wisconsin I knew was overrated, the fighting richrods never pretended to have a defense, but Iowa – really? Wow, way to show up and give away your shot at a national title in week 3 by not playing football till the second half. I’m still skeptical that the buckeyes won’t drop the ball (literally with turnovers and special teams) and give away a game either at Iowa or Wisconsin or worst of all in ‘the game’, but I now know for certain there is no team left on our schedule that will beat us. There are teams we can play bad and lose to, but none that can beat us. Hopefully the defense can weather a bad offense game or our offense can stay error free and we can role to the BCS title game and get a shot at Bama. If we do and bama stumbles, pray that Nebraska or Oklahoma or Florida goes undefeated so we can have an opponent that people will give us credit for beating. Playing Boise st would be a lose-lose game, if you win everyone says who cares they shouldn’t have been there and if you lose, well lets not even think about how bad that would be. On to my picks or as they are known on the street, ‘Eric Mangini like brain power’!! (for you non browns fans, that means they suck!)

10 pts – Fla wins, hey Urban good thing you have a nice soft schedule to begin with so you can figure out stuff before the big boys come a knockin!

9 pts – Bama wins, ummm yeah Ark you struggled at UGA who es nada mui bueno. Let me make an analogy, you (ark) are the strung out coke whore in a warehouse in Van Nuys and Mark, Julio and the rest of bama is the train! Lube up, role tide!

8 pts – Ore wins, to those of you saying Ingram is going to tie Archie cause of what he did against Duke, its Duke, he missed 2 games (so far), he’ll split caries with the other guy (who might actually be more complete), and have you seen LeMichael James?! Wow, he’s so good I might forgive how stupid his name is, probably not, but maybe. Asu, this ain’t bucky badger this week, better buckle up tight.

7 pts – LSU wins, WV should have lost to Marshall whom we hammered, and so I’m guessing they might struggle at LSU a little?!

6 pts – Aub wins, Herbie keeps saying how good and underrated Auburn is and well who doesn’t love saying War Eagle!!

5 pts – Stan wins, Now I know the golden domers where without there QB for most of the first have against the fighting richrod’s, but seriously Umass torched that defense, how did you not score more. I (like my bro in law Bill) still believe Kelly will get ND turned around, but what Woody said ‘you win with people’ will always be true and he needs time to get the people. Ironically just like Harbaugh will next year when he takes over for richrod and tries to right that ship.

4 pts – Canes win, they better or the bucks win looks less impressive, plus you’re going against the stache! Though the stache is why I have this so low in points, he tends to pull games like this out his Arse!

3 pts – Miss wins, I know Fresno is another new trendy look at me little guy, but it’s a mighty SEC team at home, so hopefully they Massoli up and get a win.

2 pts – Zona wins, Can they ride the wave of a big victory to the coast and get a big road win? Hope so, maybe the best Stoopes brother is not in Norman any more?

1 pt – GaTech wins, I think NCst is better, but they have struggled with the option in the past and tech is the home team so I’ll go with them at home for a point.

Going to the shoe for the game this weekend, going to have a blast, if paper holds true and bucks continue to stomp on inferior teams early then this should get ugly fast. Great teams do, hope they continue to as well! Steve, travel safe, see you in a couple days. Go Bucks!!!!

Day 45

Walked for about 1hr 15min last night during wife's volleyball playoffs. Guess I got about 3 miles in, back to the park tonight. Will try 3 laps and be caught up from sunday.

not what i sat out to write about

Last week my wife got some free tickets for the Crew game on Saturday night. The bucks were playing at noon so it fit our schedule real nice. Went to my parent’s house to watch the bucks, play with my nephew and let the dog run in my parents’ backyard (thus exhausting him and swaging our guilt for putting him in cage sat night). Headed out to the game about 6:45 for a 7:30 kick and some good soccer to top off a good day of watching football and enjoying a beautiful fall Saturday in buckeye land. Now for the bad news (and it has nothing to do with the outcome of the match on the ‘pitch’)… as we walked thru the parking lot, see people tailgating and playing soccer having a good ole time, we hear ‘hey it’s Callie and Dave’. This has happened to us all where you run into a friend out and you stop and talk, catch up etc etc etc…. So these are friends of Callie’s whom I’ve hung out with many times and enjoy hanging out with very much, so this will be a bit painful, but it needs said. I have talked with this (former) buckeye fan many a time about sports and other things and seemed (and probably is to normal people but I have issues, we all know this) like a real buckeye fan. He and his fellow crew tailgaters had been in the parking lot of crew stadium ‘tailgating’ since NOON. I did not stutter or misspeak, noon/12/12:00 military time! For those of you not following this was kickoff of the bucks’ game which was on cable, so they ‘listened on the radio’!! You had 4 hrs between end of bucks’ game and beginning of crew game to drive down and tailgate for F’ing soccer! Come on! What is going on, did Callie plan this and it was all a lie to F with me? I’ve seriously been thinking about it all day, I told the ladies at my office about it, I feel like a member of the team had a career ending injury (and yes I consider fans a member of the team, until you volunteer to pay for my Psychologist leave me alone, I know I need help). I won’t talk to him in the same way ever again, it will be like having a football conversation with the ladies at work or my mom or well most girls, I’ll be polite and informative where I can and in my head be wishing my brother, dad, Gary, Slack, Steve, Bill etc etc etc were there to really talk football. I’ve actually talked to my wife about (if this season goes well) making a serious attempt to curtail some of my ways when it comes to football and how I allow it to affect me and my behavior/mood. I can, want to, and will do so, but I will not stop watching EVERY game. I’m human, family comes first so if a life and death situation happens family comes before football, but sorry everything else can get done in the other 164-165 hrs in the week. Honestly, the only downside to how great my in-laws are is that it has more than doubled the number of people whom are more important to me than football, but they are family now and cool too. Man, I intended to do my picks for week 4 college football and that came out, maybe they should take 1 dollar of every ticket sale (70 bucks at face value if you can find them) and set up a free public clinic for us fans?! Reasons, not to see buckeye game, family emergency, kids whatever (although try and get your kids over involved in spring/summer sports so they have the fall free to be brainwashed), fighting for your country and that’s all I can think of. Oh or cable goes out during game, in which case you listen on radio till you can drive to closest place showing the game. I think my blood pressure is up, gotta go get some water.

Day 42/43/44

So the weekend got away from me as far as posting, but friday was off day, saturday took dog with me to park and walked 1 lap and then some trails doing about 2 milies, sunday failed to get out and walk, but did lots around the house. Will make up for lost sunday this week with some extra walking. Bucks looked good, still worried about when TP has mental lapses, but he is so good when he's on that we will have to hope defense can weather his bad spells. Going to the game this week with the el prez, v.p. and the lade! Can't wait, Go Bucks!!

Day 41 and the finger of God

For those that don't know.... tornadoes turn me into a girl. Seriously I make Liberace look like the dos XX's guy when the sirens go off! So yesterday when leaving work I went home and not to the park and I went straight to my basement to watch nervously till Jim Gahnal told me he was going to White Castle thus meaning the weather is clear. So last night to get a good sweat on I played some Wii, really is silly simple fun. Two things reaffirmed (for the umpteenth time) I suck at all forms of bowling and I rock at wii tennis! Ask my wife, she quit, I'm the Rod Laver (probably more the Johny Mac with my potty mouth, but I wanna pretend to be classy) of wii tennis and I challenge all takers!! Also got in some wii boxing, no baseball its lame. Today is the off day, but might play some more wii just for fun.

Thursday, September 16, 2010

Day 40

Only did 1 lap yesterday at the park, but walked another little trail probably did about 1.8 mi total. My right leg keeps hurting, not sure why it gets better as I walk, but stretching doesn't seem to help. Weird. Lots of rain in forcast today and heavy wins, maybe i'll just run down wind the whole time, that could help :-)

Wednesday, September 15, 2010

Day 39

Did not have time at lunch to walk yesterday, so just went to the park like normal. Was feeling pretty good so did 3 laps (3.6mi) in 1hr 6min. Not so fast, but felt good, beautiful weather. Hopefully more of the same today.

College picks week 3

9 out of 10 right last week and I still lost ground, stupid Uga! Oh well, I’m definitely leading the picks of people who look at no other experts picks or stats and just pick based on superstitions, hatred, and personal bias. Those of you crunching the numbers and seeing that Arkansas qb Ryan Mallet typically struggles on the road or this or that stat, boooo on you! Try making your picks based on pure dislike of Urban Meyer! Now that’s college football.

Before I pick, lessons from last week: Va tech bad, all of the ACC bad, big east bad, d Robinson good, d Robinson will get Maghee’d if he keeps running that much, Montana’s kid bad, Boise st still overrated just now more people will see their top 2 opponents will have 4 loss seasons, UCLA bad. One thing learned yesterday, next weeks schedule of games very bad if the bucks vs. emu is a regional 3:30 abc game!

On to the picks: side note, I’m an original member/co-creator of college football picks and yet I am not picking any of the games this year (which I’m fine with), but I may need to request a veto vote if we keep seeing Clemson games. It’s unfair, I can’t pick Clemson games with a clear mind because my hate for them is like my hate for Boise/Mich/last years Purdue game/ and organized bigotry all wrapped into one!

10 pts – Fla wins, this is a no brainier because tenn is mui mui mal (very very bad) and if Florida was to lay an egg and lose, well xmas would come early for me!! Hey Urban, way to struggle with Miami of Ohio and S. Fla, team looks pretty stella! Haven’t had a chance to mention yet this year, You sir are a CHEATER!! (and a liar)

9 pts – Iowa wins, again a good 2 for 1 game, because watching Iowa lose and again being overrated good, but think they actually are good and bigten is better so can pick to win with confidence they probably will score points for me.

8 pts – SC wins, do you hear that? Its Glenn Mason’s laugh echoing around Gopher land, should have been happy with being a successful program year in year out without ever getting to the next level. It’s the best you’ll ever be and you thru it away for Tim Brewster?! Hahahahahahaah

7 pts – Aub wins, I believe WarEagle is good again, but considered picking Clemson because of afore mentioned hatred of the orange clad morons from the Southern Cross state.

6 pts – Neb wins, nice to see Bo get Nebraska back to real good in time to join the big ten, should see this week if the blackshirts are back against a good QB on an ehh team.

5 pts – Houston wins, the fact that there is not more national talk about Ricky being on the coaching hot seat is a sign of how bad (for how long) ucla has been and how little people (aside from Steve) care. Sad. Houston as always has QB that is good and can shred bad teams, like ucla.

4 pts – Tex wins, probably should make this higher because tech is not what they’ve been recently, but Tex always struggles in Lubbock. I think they will out talent tech, but could see and upset here so will keep’em low.

3 pts – Sparty wins, Sparty has good good rb’s, ND not good on defense and only good on offense as long as Crist stays healthy (add an H and he could just heal himself? Wife will yell at me for that joke, ehh.) Sparty gets it done because they are at home in one of the worst stadiums in college football. Side note: for those that have never been, sparty has one of the most beautiful campuses with old brick buildings and a great center campus area. Having said that, why did they build such and ugly, boring, depressive, gray, blah stadium? Seriously watch the game it’s just dull, looks like an open air insane asylum! I’d be more surprised people don’t regularly jump off the top of it, but probably get too depressed just walking to the top, quit and turn around.

2 pts – Ark wins, ok I think Mallet and the razorbacks should go take care of UGA quite easily, but Mallet has struggled on the road in the past and I’m not going 9 of 10 again and losing a butt ton of points because of F-ing uga!!

1 pt – FSU wins, man if they had shown any life against Oklahoma I’d have no qualms about picking them (I think they are better than they have been) but they laid a major egg. Now I think boomer sooner is good and doubt BYU is anywhere close to that good, but this could be a lot more close than I would have thought a week ago.

Predictions for this week, Gary will go 10/10 (his picks and he’s due), the bucks will return a kick (punt or off) for a TD (we had more overall return yds than Miami last week), I will text my friend Keith ‘go eagles’ and tell him how I am now an eagles fan so he can blame me and be mad at my ‘jinx’ when they lose! And lastly I will begin to have dreams of the going to the shoe in 11 days!! I wanna go back, I gotta go back to O-hi-O!!

Day 38

Busy Busy Busy, no time for park. Walked at lunch and then again at night with dog. Did about 2-3 miles. Going to walk again at lunch today and then go to the park today and do 1 lap as fast as I can and see what kind of time I can get on a single mile.

Final segment of NASCAR 2k10

I’ve only been big in to racing for about 5 or 6 years. The 2006 Coke 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway was my first ever live race and since then I’ve been to 3 other races with plans to go to many more. Second only to the Shoe, live racing is unbelievable!! In 2008 went to Richmond spring race and this year made it down to Talladega and over to Indianapolis for the brickyard. Bristol, Daytona, Martinsville, and Pocono top my list of tracks to get to now and I look forward to getting my brother to a race live at some point. Having said this it is becoming more and more frustrating to be a Dale Jr. fan. I will never find another driver to root for like him because (like many) he and my friends are what first brought me to the sport. Sadly his performance is no longer on par with his personality. He genuinely seems like a guy I’d hang with or any one could hang with, unlike his fellow drivers whom often seem either to corporate or whiney or both. Luckily I’m a browns and Indians fan so I can cheer in the face of certain doom and unfulfilled hope and potential. Next year, next sponsor, Next crew chief blah blah blah…… Sadly this means another year out the chase, no wins, and little to cheer for. The 48 can win all the championships he wants and will never have a moment like this years July 4th weekend nationwide race. The hopes of moments like that keep me coming back despite the likely hood of continuing failure. Go 88, let’s get a win and build to next year, plus move to Cleveland, they understand!

Below are my picks for the final segment, I am still in it mathematically, but it is clearly Brock’s to lose.

Loudon – 33….. Come on Ivan you’ve won here before and a quick win early is key to getting up and getting a chance to win.

Dover – 48….. Man was is hard to find the one track to pick the 48 team. Steve may I make a suggestion, take whomever is in last place and track if that person was (and did) allowed to pick the 48 for all 10 races how they would fair. I’d guess they would go from last to at least 4th probably higher. Afraid we are in for another couple of early wins by the 48 team and championship 5 in a row.

Kansas – 14….. Smoke is good here and needs an early win if he’s to get his first owner/driver championship. I think I’m rooting for him most out of the guys that made the chase.

Fontana – 17….. Ford guys had rough start to the season, but got 3 in the chase and might have something to say about how it finishes.

Charlotte – 1….. What a year for high pitch McMurray, could he bring a championship to DEGSI racing (Dale Earnhardt Ganasi Sabatos Inc)?

Martinsville – 11….. Is this the year they film ‘Days of Thunder 2: the special needs ride’?
Dega – 24….. Usually I pick well enough to go with my heart here and take the 88, but I need a come back so I’ll go (begrudgingly) with fruity mcsecondplace to get a win.

Texas – 99….. He has a giant horseshit phony Texas sized grin so maybe he’ll back flip his way into a late push for the cup. Maybe picking all these fords is why I’m in forth this year.

Phoenix – 29…. Well, if he hasn’t won before this in the chase he might be out of it, but I can’t pick the 48 again (would have done so like 4 other times if I could) so I’ll go with second most successful driver in the desert.

Homostead – 16…. I’ll predict the 48 needs to finish 26th or better to lock up the cup and the Biffle will do what he does and win the last race of the year when it doesn’t matter and no one cares because they are busy watching the 48 to see if he’ll blow an engine or get taken out by a big wreck.

So there you have it, probably no 3 peat for this hombre, but it’s not over till the fat lady sings or you’re in the 88 car and they drop the green flag!

Day 37

I spent yesterday getting caught up on some house work, watching the browns (don't know why?), and hangin at home. Didn't go walking, but did do a lot around house and was pretty active. Going to walk some at lunch today to make up difference. Well, back to work, got lotz to get done so the rest of the people at work can concentrate on facebook.

Saturday, September 11, 2010

Day 35/36

Good off day yesterday, got up and did my 2 laps (2.4mi) in 40:42 this morning. Going to get ready for bucks, big game take down the U again baby! Go Bucks!!!

Friday, September 10, 2010

Day 34, tenn players can't shower, and joe the dueche

Did my 2 laps (2.4 mi) in an ehh time 42:02, but its done. Friday's off day, think I'm gonna go play poker!! Sent good friends down in Tennessee story about their football players needing a tutorial on how to properly shower (next thing we will hear is that SEC players get help in school and have fraudulent college degrees - shocking)! At least they aren't Joe Montana, what a dill hole! He came out and said the movie Rudy was full of exaggerations and no player gave his jersey for Rudy blah blah blah. What an F-in dick, who cares, its a movie. Did you have something bad happen recently to break up your charmed little life? Even if your telling the truth (which I doubt because your a pathetic petty little a-hole) let the man have his movie, you've done alright in life. You remember, that mediocre (non championship career at ND) that led to getting on the 49ers where you had hall of fame players at almost every position make you seem a better QB than you really are (like what we saw in KC). I'm not even a ND fan, but Rudy is a great movie and you are a sad sad loser yelping to get back on the sweet teet that is celebrity. Did I mention your a dick?! Good.

Thursday, September 9, 2010

Day 33

Back to the park, did my 2 laps (2.4 miles), not sure on time (phone acting up) about 42 minutes. Kind of feeling like I'm getting sick but not full blown sick, that's such a weird feeling. Ehh, anyway got to keep on doing it even if I'm not a hundred percent or up to my best time - the bucks need me! Lol! Best part of a short week is it is Thursday so soon and almost game day baby! Go Bucks!!!

Wednesday, September 8, 2010

Day 32

Crazy busy week always follows a holiday weekend. Had to squeeze in my walking around a lot of obligations and other things. Did a mile a lunch and then did a mile plus after work. Headed back to the park/pond after work today to get back to normal. Big game this week! Rumor is tixs for the eastern mich game are almost in hand! Well, actually need to get busy at the office (like they pay me or something?!) have a good day ya'll.

Tuesday, September 7, 2010

My picks for week 2

If anyone doubted why they call this gambling, mr. Futbol went 10 for 10 in week 1.

On to me – Bucks looked good, do it again this week and show us we are in for a special season.

10 pts – Bama wins, Penn St defense let a white division 1aa Youngstown st WR take a 2 yd bubble screen 80 YARDS FOR A TOUCHDOWN!!!! Ok, they went on to win big and be strong with a true freshman QB, but bama is going to embarrass them big. Lesson; don’t schedule these games when a traditional power like bama is down expecting they will stay down.

9 pts – On probation wins, the hooves did manage to overcome mighty Richmond this year, but the Trojans didn’t have all there cheaters transfer so they still have lots of talent. Ok, maybe not on defense, but they will drop 50 plus on you so it doesn’t matter if they give up 30.

8 pts – Stanford wins, sorry to my friend but ucla = bad. Note to richrod, better be on the road to back for real because if you tank this year, there is a real mean cus building a resume in no cal for the fighting trees to take your job.

7 pts – Oregon wins, um 72 – nothing without Lemichael James (and for his parents if your kids name makes the redline on my spell check come on than I say boo to you)! Tennessee did look good, but I don’t know how good (?) is this year, so is Tennessee back or just played a jv squad? Seriously I don’t know who they played, could have been a boarding school team for all I know.

6 pts – Uga wins, Ole ball coach I’m not buying the hype this year which means you will probably screw me again. This is a boring game, even if it’s good who cares. Talk about two schools that just bore me, I can’t even muster up a good hatred.

5 pts – Mich wins, Touchdown Jesus yes, defense Jesus NO! I predict 45-42 in a fun game I won’t get to see because its at the same time as the bucks, come on NBC only good thing about your stupid contract is you could start this whenever you want, why 3:30?! F U nbc. These two teams could play a 3-3-6 defense and it still is advantage offense!

4 pts – Oklahoma wins, man I would have this way higher if sooners hadn’t looked so bad, but don’t think Jim Bo Fisher is going to have his first big win in game 2. And boo to FSU fan, that stadium was about 75% full for first game under a new regime? Nice support, another reason why all these Florida/southern football people are a joke, they just don’t care like we do.

3 pts – OSU wins, this is hard for me to pick and pick so high because of my paranoia, but I really hope what I saw Saturday is a sign of more to come. Think we will win turnover game and that will let us have a Tressel blowout, up 2 scores and running out the clock. We shall see, hope I’m right. Go Bucks!!

2 pts – L’ville I was wrong last week, you can’t lose to every school in Kentucky, can you?!!

1 pt – SDSU wins, guess the rest of the bigten and sec must be in there let’s beat up on sisters of the poor schedule because I don’t know why I’m picking this game. I don’t know much about either and nmst didn’t even play in week 1, so nothing to gleaming from game 1 other than they are dumb enough to schedule their bye week for week 1.

Boise st won’t be a pick till Oregon st because they play in a horrible conference and you can just put a W when they show up to those games. What a joke if they make the national championship game, put them in SEC or Bigten and they’d lose 2-3 games easy.

Oh, for the fellas, go See Machete!! Awesome!!!

Day 31 (labor day)

What a great weekend. Didn't officially walk today, but I did play golf with my dad and brother. You can verify with them that the way I play golf, there was an shyte ton amount of walking from the left rough/bunker to the right rough/bunker etc etc etc...... Actually I played pretty well the second 9! Yay! Also help parents cleanup from Sundays parteee. My brother, cousin, and I hung, played, and horsed around like when we were kids, it was a blast; been a longtime (to long) since we just f-ed around and laughed. I'm definitely still in my 30's, but the walking/jogging definitely is helping because usually I would have been unable to walk by Monday morning with all the activity this weekend. I actually felt at the end of 18 holes on Monday that I could keep playing if I wanted to! Well, back to a short workweek and starting to make my stomach hurt worrying about Saturday's big game! Go Bucks!!

Day 30 and other weekend stuff

Walked the dog this morning for about 1:45, not sure how far, but i'd guess about 4-5 miles, so i'm caught up for the weekend. Going to see my godsister march with Dublin Coffman band (my alma matta as well) in the shoe! How frickin cool right?! Plus the weather is great fall weather and what could be better than going to the shoe on a beautiful fall sunday?! Then going to my parents to eat eat eat, oh and hang with family. Golfing tomorrow and either tonight or tomorrow will go see Machete!!! Great holiday weekend, hope everyone else is having as good or better.

Day 28/29 and Villa Nova

So had nice off day Friday and unintentionally Saturday, will make up for that tomorrow with a long walk. Its not like I did nothing, actually did a lot of work at my parents getting ready for their cookout tomorrow, but I need to stick to my miles and I will get them done. Also, need to do so because this is not a great food weekend, labor day is so called because most people eat so much they feel like they are going to give birth! Add to the normal cookouts and such, Callie and I finally got around to trying a restaurant her cousin recommended. It is called Villa Nova and its on high st in Clintonville. As a fat man I am saddened that I did not know about this place and had to be let in on the secret by skinny people (very very nice skinny people). You would think I would have fatdar (like gaydar but for food). This place has Italian done right at a good price, I had the lasagna with Alfredo sauce: good note to all if you go to Italian place for the first time and want to know how authentic it is, ask if you can have lasagna with Alfredo. If they say sure, good sign, if they say let me check, bad sign. Also, if they have a cup or side of Alfredo in the sides part of menu, another good sign. Villa Nova hit all the good signs, plus a good salad with phenomenal ranch dressing and very good bread sticks. Now, its late.... I'm kinda in a food comma....and my wife and dog might make me sleep on the couch (garlic farts are nasty) so I better go get a pillow and blanket. Hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend!

Day 27 and a good start

What a busy day, got up went to work early and skipped lunch so I would have time to get my walk/jog in and then go home shower and finish picking up and cooking to have peeps over for game 1. It was all worth it, first to get the business out of the way, did 2 laps (2.4mi) in 39:25, not quite as good as yesterday but still under 40. Looking forward to a night off, going to olive garden with my wife and then to celebrate J's 32nd bday at the hat (and hopefully his house closing). As for the first game, a really solid start, no turnovers (atleast by the offense) def pitched a shutout, and rb's/oline looked good. TP played solid with only a few errant throws. Hard to know what marshall is going to be this year with new staff, but I'd guess they are better than fla a&m (miami's opener last night) and we had basically same score (minus our fg debacle) and better stats. Personal note, steve in so cal loves boom and zoom and i've come around to appreciate them more and more, always hoping one would emerge over the other as a go to guy and I think Saine is doing so. I really think J Hall looks sick, but won't get a shot to show he can be the man till next season, Berry also looked nice in mop up duty. Did anyone noticed we threw 3 balls to the tightend for 41 yds!! Wow, still need a third wr to step up, t washington litterally dropped his last ball on him ever being the 3rd guy, philly brown looks like a possibility to take on that role, if he doesn't also have dropsies issues, seriously midget bausermans throws the best pass of his 5-7ft life and you hot potatoe it in to the sidelines? Come on man! We aren't talking about practice! Practice?! (allen iverson reference anyone?) Practice! Note on the defense, solomon thomas is a (practice!) player and not a gamer, need nate williams back. Marshall had a big boys oline and either they played really well or cam heyward was resting for next weeks game? I love big hank, the next big daddy!! I would give every kid related to the football "Rolle" family in florida a scholarship offer at birth, I love those guys, small - fast - and HITMEN!! To all db's ever, wr are morons for the most part, if they turn around... It's because the F-ing ball is coming.... turn around too!! F-ing jackasses!! Can anyone tell I played def line and really dislike skill position players because lineman look at football as chess and they look at football as checkers!! ehh, not all just the ones my cardiologists says will do me in!! Anyway a very positive start (god imagine what i'd say if it was a bad start?) thanks to all that came over to celebrate with us! Steve, 3 weeks from tomorrow, you come back to the shoe!!!

ok, I can't resist one or two more... PRACTICE! Are we talkin about practice, practice!! If that man has a sense of humor at all he has to have the word practice tattoed on his body somewhere!! (assuming he had any room for another tat)

Day 26

Did my 2 laps (2.4 mi) in 39:02, I must of been high on football season!! Plus I was thinking about the divisional alignment announcement and 'the game' remaining where it was meant to be!! I got to end this or i'll type for 8 hrs (and I have work to do), but today is GAME DAY BABY!!!!! Go Bucks!!! Make year 10 the dream season to cap a dream decade, please.

Wednesday, September 1, 2010

I hate this guy, but it did give me a funny idea...

I've seen like 4 minutes of Jersey Shore on Mtv and when my wife wants to watch it, I go downstairts. It might be one of the worst reality tv shows ever (like temtation island bad)! The last 2 days Howard has been talking about 'the situation' and the show and I thought, now that's what I need for self promotion - a nickname for my abs!! So from now on you can refer to me as 'the constellation'! A big mass darkness!!

Day 25

Did the 2 laps around the pond (all walking) in 43:30, so I gues I jog about enough to knock off 2 minutes, ehh some pace! Oh well, atleast i'm doing it, 2 looooong days of work to get thru till the first game. Go Bucks!!!!!
