wk 10 college football picks

Gone, gone is the thrown, but not lost! I can, I must, I will continue on – on to Glory!!

Ok, clearly I’m not the leader anymore, but I’m only 4 pts back and ready to try and regain my lead. As for losing it, it was pointed out that my lack of faith in the Bucks winning in Pedi’ville is what cost me my lead. Now while that is technically true, I’d say that it was my blindness to the truth about Choklahoma and Bob 1 lucky year Stoopes!

How many times in the last 12 years have we heard that Oklahoma is absolutely loaded with talent and ready to get the genius coach Stoopes a second national title or hell even another meaningful big game win. Let me break some facts for you – and yes this is half bitterness over losing my lead and half a calling to the Field Goal Jesus fans to whoa up on the excitement.

Since winning it all in 2000, the Sooners are 7-9 against ranked non-conference opponents and 2-5 in BCS bowl games. Those 2 wins were vs. Washington State and Connecticut, that’s right that’s the powerhouse programs they’ve taken down of late.
So the lesson is nothing other that to say, get bent Boomer Sooner.

The positive spin is the top four teams in the country right now don’t play each other and all have a good shot at going undefeated and making the BCS look stupid which is great!! Even better, the golden doomers have a real shot of going undefeated (actually if they don’t now it will be a huge embarrassment) and still not making the national champ game, which will piss many, many people off!! K st should win out and be in the game vs Bama I’d guess, which will piss Oregon off because they should win out as well, but their strength of schedule is taking major hits from Lane Kiffin’s dogs who might lose 5 games in a year where they were preseason numero uno!! Ahh ain’t college football grand!!

As for the Bucks, way to go, now finish off a great season in style and really give AP voters some food for thought in voting come the end of the year. Winning these last 3 games would be a dream, but keep playing well and dominate those wins and get 5 a Heisman shot and some press for being one of the best teams at end of the season. Yes the BigTen is bad bad bad, but if you can win out and in whoop ass fashion than people will have to take notice!

Wk 10 games

10 pts – Oregon wins, they score 70 on the Trojans trying to get some voter points to jump K st and ND.

9 pts – Mich wins, yes they lost and Denard was hurt, but he is supposed to be fine and Denard ain’t losing to Goldie’s defense, so unless he gets hurt again, this is a no doubt win.

8 pts – Bama wins, I don’t know why I have this so high, but the spread is large and Saban is the Devil. I’m staring to think other than bama that the SEC isn’t so great this year as it has been in past and Bama will role pretty easy to undefeated regular season and shot at 3rd Nat title, yuk!

7 pts – Tex Tech wins, holy water to wine Texas sucks!! Mac Brown lose it or did he ever really have it?

6 pts – WV wins, tcu burned me last week and better not pull the upset this week in Morgantown, you know if they can get the snow cleared in time to play football Sat.

5 pts – Sparty wins, I don’t know, I just think being at home and Martinez turnover issues will be difference for Sparty to win.

4 pts – Okla wins, I know I said they are choking dogs and this is why I have this game low, but they are favored big and Iowa st is type of school where Sooners can spank them, it’s them good teams with defense and heart that screw up Bob’s boys.

3 pts – Zona wins, well richrod found his comfort zone again, ehh defense conference where it’s who can score more most weekends, right where he wants to be. He has more big wins in 2/3 a season at Zona as he had in 3 yrs in Ann Arbor, that’s got to be a concern for his health – I mean lower Michigan is home to gun crazy anti-govt nutcase movement of the week right? None of them twitchy little puss bags care enough about their football to stop trying to find Obama’s birth records and take out the man responsible for losing to App State?

2 pts – Miss st, last second switch on this game, I was thinking A&M scores a little too much and wins, but I’m going home crowd makes difference for Miss St.

1 pt – Miami wins, Cause Fuck beamer ball!!

So there it is another week and hopefully next week I’ll be back to posting crazy celebration video for the lead!!

wk 9 college football picks

Ok, obviously by that video it was not my strongest week, but not awful and I’m still in first – a little worried about this weeks games – but still in first!!

On to the picks me legions of fans…

10 pts – bama wins, before anyone bellows about having such a high spread game in picks this week let me say it is two ranked SEC schools having a big game, so it should be a pick. Having said that, bend over Miss St, Bama and Saban are Tyson and the rest of college football is Desiree Washington (I should have picked an analogy where I could spell the girls name! Um – Teddy and the … no I can’t even remember her name and technically she was murdered not raped. Um, Siegfried and Roy? Ok, I have to stop, this is getting out of control)

9 pts – Okla wins, will the real Fg Jesus please stand up! The truth about ND is they are better and kind of back, but not that back to win on the road with a very turnover prone QB. Props to them for telling the truth about their QB recovering from a concussion (hey buckeye nation starting to lie like SEC school is right step toward cheating err winning like an SEC school!!)

8 pts – K st wins, um we have Heisman front-runner and he’s goofy looking and from Soft butter U? Will he continue being en fuego or flutter like the rest? We shall see…

7 pts – Mich wins, does anyone need some free black shirts? Because Nebraska doesn’t use theirs anymore!! Oh and they might not play their best rb? Good idea trying to limit your offense against a team likely to drop 70 on your ole defense! Let’s be honest though, you won’t break my heart if you prove me wrong and snap Denard in two, if you can catch him…

6 pts – Penn st wins, The worried buckeye in me wanted to make this the 10 pt pick to try and “reverse psych” this win to the buckeyes, but the new found I’m gonna pick with my brain and not my heart is making me keep it real up in the field al’right!!  Look we don’t know what our QB is going to be for sure and our Defense needs Corp Klinger and it’s on the road. Plus the talent left a PSU is playing very well right now, so look for a long night, God I hope I’m wrong.

5 pts – L’ville wins, Fuck Cincy as a Univ, city, sports town et al!! Yes I’m still bitter about not going with my wife’s Rockets last week and believing in the cincy hype bullshit, Fuck!!

4 pts – Fla wins, this big drunk fest ought to see a blowout, but I can’t put it real high because you never know in this game, weirder has happen many a times at the formerly known as giant cocktail party. I’m sure changing the name of the game has really helped keep the drunkards from getting all sorts of crazy in J’ville? Stupid PC BS!!

3 pts – ASU wins, again a game I should have higher, but I think UCLA is looking to make Steve a little happier this weekend with a big upset, maybe?

2 pts – Iowa st wins, I have nothing to say about this game, boring…

1 pt – TCU wins, I’m trying to figure out what I’m missing and why Ok St is favored and solidly in this game? They are at home, but I kind of think TCU is much much better, but what do I know?

So there it is for another week, I really hope to be your sire for weeks to come!!

Watch it while you can

I just watched a great hour long documentary on the Cuban missile crisis called "Three men go to war" on PBS. I really hope if Captain Magic Under pants wins the election he reconsiders cutting funding to PBS, but i'm sure it will be for something useful like tax breaks on Ferrari's.

Movie for the neurotic

I'm watching a movie at work, no i am not slacking- I actually get paid to watch movies (amongst other real work) on sundays. Anyway the movie has Jeff Goldblum and it made me think of one of the more odd ideas i've ever had for a movie (and I have very strange ideas regularly). Anyway, I want to make a movie that stars Jeff Goldblum, Alan Arkin, and Richard Lewis. I don't have a plot, storyline or any ideas, but it would be the greatest hemming and haw-in movie ever. Very uncomfortable!!

wk 8 college football picks

(Trumpet sounds joyously) Subjects!! Bow before your Lord!! (More triumphant music) Thank You! Thank You! You are so kind, let us celebrate today as one, it is not without your support that I stand at this throne and rule…

Ok, I think that is enough redonculous celebration for today. Honestly I’m starting to have some of my inner conservative nature come out and I want to be modest and negative and glass have empty about can this really continue? But thankfully my even worse trait of being extremely superstitious is making me think more absurd and pompous the better!! Lucky ya’ll right?

The Big Ten is still very very bad bad bad!! (Although there are 3 B10 bball teams in preseason top 5, so maybe we are just a basketball conference now?)

Last week only 2 games I lost were my 1 and 2 pt games, keep that up and it be champagne time at end of the season.

This weeks games…

10 pts – Oregon wins,  asu is not bad but the ducks be loading up for another run at trying to win one that counts. Funny side note, just as Browns fans have had a day of feeling good about new life and ownership, today I hear that maybe the new owner likes Chip Kelley for new Browns head coach?! Is there a conspiracy to kill Browns fans? Seriously a 1) college 2) no nfl experience 3) spread offense coach to start our new direction? Somewhere someone is dying laughing!

9 pts – Mich wins, sorry sparty the run ends this year and it’s back to reality. This game and Michigan both illustrate why the big ten is so so bad because Michigan is going to show that they are probably best team (maybe the bucks if we can find some sort of defense before The Game) in the conference and they got housed by Bama and beat by improving but not yet dominant Domers in the non-conference, yet the only team that probably will or should compete with them in the Big Ten is the bucks.

8 pts – Cincy wins, too bad for my wife’s school, but UC should beat the rockets solidly even on the road, but if there is a game I feel I could get screwed on it could be this one, my only hope is that most peeps have Cincy winning big too.

7 pts – LSU wins, I know they are on the road and A&M has a really good qb, but man are the aggies and mizzu gonna help the SEC mystique by struggling and struggling bad in their first years in the conference.

6 pts – Iowa wins, maybe now pedi st will start getting some come upins? Also, this is the Iowa/ferentz comfort zone of have low expectations and catch people off guard by being pretty good or better than they thought.

5 pts – Zona wins, Richrod’s boys ought to score score score on the huskies, hopefully it’s enough to win, and being at home should help too.

4 pts – Fla wins, ole ball coach team going to lose a close one on the road again to what is looking like maybe a challenger to bama? Maybe?

3 pts - Neb wins, will just outscore the wildcats and no home field advantage to help NW.

2 pts – Stan wins, well they should have beat the domers really, but they didn’t, so as long as they can control the band they should win their rivalry game.

1 pt – K st wins, wv def finally done in the team once they played a defense with some game, now being at home is why I only have K st as a 1 pt pick here, but look for K st qb to be front runner for Heisman after this game.

There it is, another week and hopefully another good week of picks, only time will tell…

P.S. – nervous about bucks this week because of long list of stupid superstitions I have about purdon’t, this weekend, and the bad play of the boilers coming into this game. Hope I’m way way wrong or at least the offense just keeps scoring our way to victory.

Still the leader? Let the fun continue...

Not only did I hold my lead, but I actually grew my lead!!

Hope I keep up the good picks and lead and can keep being redonculously stupid like this all season!!

my music loving rasta baby

wk 7 college football picks

Hem hem hem, ladies and gentlemen your Sire…

Thank you, thank you; please please quiet down, thank you.

Now it has been a long time coming and a long hard struggle, but lets remember what got us here – to the summit – and lets work to stay here for the long haul!

Pompous enough? I thought pretty obnoxious, but lets face it – this will probably be over after this weekend and may never happen again, so enjoy it while it lasts, I AM!!

Big Ten is still Bad Bad Bad

I’m almost certain the Buckeyes will slip up once or twice still this season, but there is no reason if they keep playing better (especially on offense) that they can’t go 12-0 and have the best season you can hope for in a ‘Ban’ season. And I hope that offensive line keeps getting better and better and we drop some sick sick rushing stats this second half of the season, we shall see…

FSU – get the F out of the ACC, I don’t even think that loss is your fault, it’s the curse of the ACC, trying to predict ACC football games is pointless and painful.

On to this week’s picks…

10 pts – So Cal wins, they’ve had their slip up this year and only teams going to beat them this year (possibly) are Oregon and ND.

9 pts – ND wins, so if it is going to fall apart for me this week, here is the game that will do it, but I said it when ND hired Kelly that he had what it took to make them good and not just make them hyped.

8 pts – K St wins, Iowa St over the years has pulled some great upsets in the big12, but I think ole soft butter, left side of the plane, double socks crazy Bill Snyder is some sort of K St voodoo doctor (k st fans better enjoy it, cause when he dies they will go back to nothingness) and he has a great qb.

7 pts – Va Tech wins, I must be insane having this as my 7 pt win, but the 5-0 duke record is a mirage! No way they are going into Blacksburg on the road and doing Goiter ball in his back yard!

6 pts – NW wins, a shootout for sure and probably higher than I should have the wildcats, but I think they will out score the gopher’s and win by 10.

5 pts – Okla wins, Texas has problems on def and the sooners will do what WV did, just out score them, but with a better defense.

4 pts – T a&m wins, this will be the one that a lot of people will pick as the upset that isn’t an upset because la tech has shown that they are this years yes we really are that good team. I say picking the aggies is picking the upset, I can’t believe la tech isn’t the favorite at home in this game, maybe that’s because their stadium sits like 7 people, but still if you look at record and opponents…

3 pts – Mary wins, ACC game, wtf go with the road team, seriously though how did Penn St lose to uva, god the hooves are bad (sorry slackman)

2 pts – Byu wins, changed this from or st because or st qb is hurt, but this is really a coin toss so anyone that has this above a 3 pt value is nuts!!

1 pt – S. Car wins, I want to believe that the ole ball coach has the magic back and the nat champ game might have cocks vs ducks, but at baton rouge? Still not sold, show it on the road and then lets talk. You should run run run the ball, cause if fla can you can with best rb in college football (actual rb, not a qb that can run like no one’s business)

There you have it, even I don’t see another 10 for 10, I’d be thrilled with a 8 for 10 this week, let’s hope the magic keeps rolling, I want the cup the bragging rights and can you imagine the annoying celebratory measures I’d concoct with a championship?

I have the lead!! (if only for a week)

It may not last, but I went 10 for 10 and have the lead, so here it is my redonculious celebration!!

Go Me!!

wk 6 college picks

I’d like to think I’m picking better, but it’s likely I should be thanking my competitors for picking down to my level this year – Thanks!

Big Ten BAD BAD BAD!!  (In fairness ACC BIGEAST and BIG TWELVE pretty Bad too)
(Actually PAC 12 not so great)
(and yes SEC you still are the best, but you have J.L. Smith)

Dear Sparty Medical Staff:

Hi my name is common sense and when a player has the wind knocked out of their body they generally double over/curl up, breathe heavy and maybe twitch/look as uncomfortable as Mitt Romney trying to relate to the common man (I would say person, but come on ladies – republicans don’t even give the false courtesy of pretending to relate to you. God wrote a book that puts you in your place; blame him not them, sorry. Amen). On the other hand if a player is “knocked out” (type of thing you know that all that concussion talk is about) he is more likely to flat out drop dead motionless to the grass quicker than a boner disappears at shuffle board night without Viagra! Like your freak 6-8 265lb defensive end did Saturday, but whatever, you’re the experts I’m sure he was fine to play, Joe Frasier thought he was really looking sharp and together on the sideline.

Man am I glad I waited to do this till today so I could say this… Jim Stillwagon is still one badass son of a bitch that you DEFINITLY don’t want to F with – Ever!!

Ok, on to the gauntlet of games this week, can I rate all my games as a 1 pointer?!

10 pts – Trojan wins, yes yes… Thursday where ranked teams go to die, well not this week and not a ranked team that was already upset this year.

9 pts – ND wins, I must be crazy because I can make argument that Miami has only lost to KSt who is clearly good and that ND wins have been against the Bad Ten, but they are at home and I think they got a years worth of turnovers out their system in the turnover bowl, so they should win and solidly too.

8 pts – WV wins, um dude is sick good and Tejas defense leaks like a bunghole after a night of drinking Tequila and then getting your 3am munchies snack from a gas station. I’m feeling extra vulgar today and I don’t know why? Anyway, final score of 70-63 two weeks in a row? Sure.

7 pts – Bucks win, yeah I might be over confident and yeah we have problems, but we have explosiveness in a very economy car league. The kind of explosiveness that lets you win road games against one of better teams in league (allegedly) after 3 turnovers (all drive killers) and forcing none. Really if we can clean up that last bit of missed tackling on that lone touchdown we might be really good for the Bad Ten. Also, we have a very serviceable back up QB this year and a coach that doesn’t enjoy letting up, so if we have a 27-6 lead in the third and Braxton gets dinged this year, don’t look for Urban to wet his trousers. Look for a peanut headed, skinny ass back up to spread offense option read your ass all over the field (and he will actually make the pitch to the open guy because he can’t rely on his freak ability like 5 does).

6 pts – S. Car wins, talk about a F fest for me, the ole ball coach vs uga, talk about the teams that have screwed Dave over the most in college pick’em bowl! Well Steve, you’re at home Dammit! Man up and win one that really really matters, please!

5 pts – Pedi U wins, I want northwestern to win so so so bad, but damn if pedi U hasn’t yet fully been depleted of talent (and they will be in next few years). He has just enough talent to compete this year and is lucky enough to be doing it in the Bad Ten, hell they might go .500, yuk.

4 pts – tun wins, I told my buddy that I thought this was a dangerous game for his team and I still think it is, but I just think they will score enough to win. I was going to make this my 1 pt game, but moved it up a couple spots based on bye week to prepare and remotivate for Brady ought to make the difference.

3 pts – Okla wins, I feel like this should be much higher, but man what has happened to the Sooners, they are so hard to predict who/what will show up. They are almost an ACC school.

2 pts – Cal wins, only because they are the home team and because I’ve seen what they can do on offense and because Ucla has come back to earth some, but I still think maybe old bruins are coming back, like where new coach has them headed.

1 pt – Fla wins, swamp back? It better be, this game could be one of those 6-3 defensive games, especially if that LSU defense is as nasty as it has been and experts say it is still. I just don’t think Les qb situation is good and Gators need to win this game to show they are really back – if they are really back? We shall see.

I really see this as being a crazy shake out week for everyone’s picks - have a good week and be in it for real, don’t and very likely looking at being done half way through the season. So if I was ever going to get a 10 for 10 week, oh Mohammed what a week to do it!! I tried to get a picture to put in for Mohammed but my google search said, “very funny asshole, we don’t want burned, try Bing, Microsoft is dumb enough…” Ok, I feel good and purged of my venom and hate that I can go hold my awesome little boy and tell him it’s a nice peaceful world. (Even my cynical ass will wait till he is at least 10 before I pull up the curtain and show him drunken whore monger Oz)
