Worst week ever!! That’s right; I had the lowest point total ever in college pick’em. Wow, I’m good. Good news, Sparty some how avoided going ‘sparty’, barely, and took down cheatconsin! Thank you Mark, Thank You!!
Well since my picks are so so bad, I’ve decide this week to rank my picks by random draw, I picked who I thought would win and then put 1-10 in a hat and picked out the point value as I went down the games – lets see if I can get worse than 15!!
10pts – Penn st, actually the zookers are showing their true colors the last few weeks and Joe pa’s boys are playing ok. Well, bigten ok which is pathetic, but still they are going to win at home against the illini – so good pt total Mr. Fate.
9pts – Sparty, oh shit, going 9pts on sparty pulling big win number 4 in a row is insane, thanks for nothing fate. Want to know the state of the bigten, sparty has shot at beating the bucks, mich, wisc and neb consecutively, Wow!!
8pts – NC, ok maybe this leaving the points value to chance was a mistake? Oh well, as someone pointed out to me I’m losing to 3 girls and my little brother, how much lower can I go?
7pts – SMU, anyone love the irony of this team starting to get back in the college football landscape this year after all the scandals of the past 12-18 months?
6pts – TCU, I didn’t fact check this, but I don’t think I have ever guessed a BYU game correct – ever!! Seriously, I’d call your broker and place a bet on the fighting Mormons they most certainly will win now that I’ve said they will lose.
5pts – Stanford, probably pulling another jinx hear, but hope not. I really want Andrew Luck to win the Heisman (yes cause he is a senior). Good news is Trojans won’t get the benefit of ND turnover spree this weekend against Stanford.
4pts – Fla, uga fans beware, Mark is doing his ‘tricky dick Nixon’ routine to try and save his job and fool you into believing he will take you to the promise land. He is the love child of John Cooper and Marty Schottenheimer! Just when you think he can’t do less with more – he will!!
3pts – Kst, glad fate had this one low, because not sure how the Sooners will handle last weeks upset, but not a good draw to have to go pick up the pieces on the road at soft butter state.
2pts – Wisc, man I wanted to pick the bucks because I’m not sure last weeks game wasn’t more a sign that the badgers had been beating up on week competition and not just a bad week. Strangely if the bucks win out (BIG BIG IF) they would only need 1 other team to beat Penn st (which should happen) and they would get into the bigten champ game. Hard to believe! Well lets hope the signs of improvement we have seen last 2 games are signs of this team putting things together and not just results of bad competition. Go Bucks!!!
1pt – Clemson, I was going to put this as a 8pt game because Clemson has phenomenal offense and ga tech has proved to be way way overrated, but then again that is where upsets often happened. Especially in the ACC where they need to put Schizoid meds in the water supply, so maybe the gods of football pick’em fate have saved me here? We shall see…
It occurs to me (as I did with the ‘Coming to America’ video) I need to find a clip to post if I should go Detroit Lions perfect (aka zero pts), so I will work on finding the perfect clip to express here is one stupid mo fo.

wk 8 picks
Buckeyes got a big win (big not good) over the crazy fighting zookers last week with 1 pass completion. One might think I’d have a big issue with that lack of passing, but what really troubled me was how Carlos Hyde was used or more correctly not used. Now, having boom back was great and he is very good, but really he goes right back to starting? He served his time and he should play, but I feel the fact Carlos is the only of the 3 rbs playing to not have (as far as we know) any disciplinary issues and that he has performed very well earns him the start. Forget the start, he didn’t even play till the third quarter and only had 3 carries – IN A GAME WE THREW 4 TIMES!!! What am I missing? I’m a big Jordan Hall fan and Boom is great too, but Hyde is the now and the future. Boom has ½ a season, Hall will be a senior next year, but Hyde can be the next Beanie, Eddie, Raymont style Buckeye rb. It is just another disturbing sign of questionable decision making with the coaching staff.

9pts – Bama, Can a team have negative yards as an official stat? Might find out with rocky top vs bama def this weekend!!
8pts – N’west, I never want anyone to die, but it has been nice seeing all the Al Davis jokes stop and for Al to get the respect for all the great things he did in the NFL. I hope Joe Pa figures out that can happen for him by retiring, he doesn’t have to die. The jokes stopped being funny a couple of years ago and now it is just sad. (ok, maybe they are still a little funny, but sad too)
7pts – Virg, this team lost to a div 1aa school last year?!! And last week they hold Ga Tech to 21 pts? F-ing college football is nuts.
6pts – Fl st, when things haven’t gone how’d you’d hoped in the first have of the season… Get you some Maryland!!
5pts – S fla, did you hear that? That is the sound of my head trying to process the fact that skip holtz and s fla are arguably the best football team (college or pro) in the state of Florida!! Wow!! Sidenote: Lou Holtz is funniest man alive – why? He had a stutter as a kid/young man (stuttering often runs in families so if one has it, their kids might also) and over came it, then named his kid Skip! Call me evil, but that cracks my shit up!!
4pts – State U of NJ, unless an obvious loss – I will always go with the fighting sopranos!!

Surprise surprise, I have a feeling at the end of this season ND fans are going to be asking how they lost those first 2 games and how it cost them a shot at being big time for the first time in a long time. Relax though Kelly is going to have them back – he won big at cincy for Mary’s sake!!
2pts – Utah, I keep having to remind myself this is a conference game, still weird and only going to get more and more weird over the next few years.
1pt – UCLA, the bruins win the boner bowl!! This game should be shortened to one half, everyone watching will be “finished” by halftime – heck some maybe before kickoff!!

BudNascar segment 7 picks
The last segment of BudNascar is upon us, only 5 races left. It has been a really good race season so far and only two things are needed to make it the best season since I got in to racing. First, a new champion (and this is looking good to happen) and second a team 88 visit to victory lane. Jr. has run well this year, been very close to winning a few times and made the chase. It will seem hollow with out a victory and there are two or three tracks in the last five races that he has a legit shot at taking the checkers.
The top four (including me in 2nd) are separated by only 7 pts, so here is my picks to hopefully keep the trophy at my house for the 4th year in a row!! (Would be my 3rd win in 4yrs)
Dega – 88, lets face it this is where most people will pick jr. and I hope we are all correct. Not sure how changes to the cars will affect the two car racing, but if it does bring things back to the pack runs – that should help the 88, as he is no fan of 2 car drafting. Either way he always has strong cars at dega just needs some better luck and to get it done!!
Martinsville – 48, hope I’m wrong, because it will help get him back in contention, but to pick anyone else here (based on the past fall races here) would be nuts.
Tejas – 17, I was going to pick the menace (99) here, but after last weeks win at charlotte and looking at the numbers of the 17 at tejas – this is a no brainer too!! (Hopefully)
Phoenix – 18, this is the one driver I don’t want to win the championship the most, which puts me in a minority, but I just can’t stand the douche!! Anyway, he is good here; I can’t pick the 48 again so the 18 it is… Side note: for those worried about 5 time becoming 6 time, the 3 key races are dega, Martinsville and this phoenix race, if he survives dega without a big wreck or engine issue or anything that would cause a 30th or worse finish then he is position to comeback. Hopefully he will get some wall time at dega and finish 35th and be way back, if not he has 2 easy top 5’s if not wins at martins/phon. Also, he is no slouch at tejas and we know if he is in striking distance at homestead he will do just enough to have the field gag it away like last year. That is the worst case scenario; let’s hope after this week we are talking about him being 40 pts of the lead.
Miami – 99, this is my pick to get it done and knock off the 48. Not sure why, just feel he will get it done. I know a lot of my friends are pulling for the 29 and that would be great, for the anyone but the 48 crowd this is my guess as the guy to finally end the 48 streak. We shall see…

wk 7 picks
I learned something about myself that deep down I probably knew, but really manifested it self Saturday night. I really only care about defense, I want to win and I want a great team, but when times are tough (as they are now) I need defense not to be the catalyst of the troubles. Two weeks ago during the sparty debacle I was upset and bummed, but could deal, this past game when the defense disappeared I lost it. I played on both sides of the ball, but only out of need – dline is the only thing I loved. Offensive players basically (with a few exceptions of really nasty offensive lineman and fullbacks) are just playing water polo without the water. A truly defensive minded player is trying to kill your soul so that there will be nothing left even for the afterlife!! I really really lost it Saturday night and I know this season is going to be bad, but it should NOT be because of the defense! They don’t have a lot of experience or even depth, but there is talent and scheme enough that there are no excuses for what happened!! In honor of the late Al Davis, our players on that field needed a little raider attitude in them, they need to get some Jack Tatum spirit!! They should tell the other team we might lose every game because of the offense, but you will be begging your coaches to punt on 3rd down once we get done hitting you!! I want blood, violence, 5 personal foul penalties a game – for the opponent to have a fucking MASH unit on the sideline!! Shit I’m still pissed; I need some blood pressure meds or something!!
Oh and mr. NCAA, I have a violation to self report, QB number 14 has been receiving a full scholarship for years and based on what we have seen it is clear he has been over paid for the work done!! Those aren’t rose colored cheeks on Joey, that’s his blood trying to escape his body out of embarrassment!!

10pts – Team up North, found out this week that Coach Brady is from the Dayton area, so once again the Ann Arbor branch of Ohio State is going to be good in football – really good. Someone can fact check me on this (I’m making it up out of anger), but they probably have never ever ever won without their important pieces coming from Ohio! Be it coach or players, the ‘leaders and best’ start out buckeyes!! Hell, I actually don’t know a single Michigan fan from Michigan, my buddy and both my cousins that wear the winged helmet shirts, all born and raised in Ohio!! (Actually not sure where my friend was born, but I think Columbus) Anyway, they are good again as we are Davenporting all over ourselves!!
9pts – Auburn, no Florida school in the top 25 rankings at all!! Was going with Auburn at home anyway, but now that gator QB is out with injury, bumped this up a few points.

This is a quote/story from eddie vedder in the new PJ20 book i'm reading about their fight in the 90's with ticketmaster over service fees. He is talking about 2 band mates who testified before Congress about the issue... "The guys went to the Holocaust Museum after they testified, and it was a free ticket. However, you had to reserve them. So on a free ticket to the Holocaust Museum, there was a three-dollar service charge from Ticketmaster. Just the idea that they were getting a service charge for a free ticket at the Holocaust Museum, I think that's a pretty symbolic story about who we were up against."

Is there an ‘app’ that records all the bitching buckeye fan did about the tressel offense and now is stuck on auto replay? Wish there was, bet those people still don’t understand the difference between conservative, calculated, methodical, attack when you have advantage and play great defense offense and the cluster F we are seeing now. Bet they are getting closer to understanding though! It is going to be a long hard fall. What I struggle with is being real upset at Coach Tress because of all the good memories and success of the last decade. Having said that, I can’t get my mind around how someone so smart and calculated could be such a bad bad cheater? How does he fall so in love with one player that he throws common sense out the window? Pryor wasn’t a great qb or a national championship qb because of tendency towards choking once a yr, but he was amazing college athlete that could win most games without being a great passer; but damn was he worth throwing your career away? And to be fair not just Pryor, but he was definitely the kingpin. The other morons, still doing wrong, should be ‘disassociated’ from the program. I think I want Urban Meyer as next coach for his talent, but more for his knowledge of how to SEC cheat!! Really, our guys are getting busted for couple hundred here and couple hundred there, whilst the SEC schools can have 6 figure church funds and not get busted (so far)! Enough bitching I guess, we had our lease end and lost track of how many miles we drove – now the overage fees are going to hurt, Bad!! (Lube up)

9 – LSU, well at the start I thought the gators were going to play with bama last week and then they got spanked. Playing in Baton Rouge against best defense in the country is not going to produce any better results. I will give Teddy Gator credit for being the most volatile, how red is my face coach in the college football!! Jerry Kill called and told you to take it easy he is worried about your health!!
8 – Michigan, was going to pick them anyway, but looks as if Persa won’t play or if he does be 100%. Plus, the winged helmets seemed to have got just enough defense to be good. Wait till Brady gets talent on that defense, scary… and so the rivalry pendulum swings.
7 – Va tech, All I have to say about this game is we LOST to this Canes team!! Really it happened, I saw’d it wit my own 2 eyez!!
6 – Oklahoma, Please football god, now that your punishment runs rampant upon buckeye nation, please please I beg of you (I will do human sacrifice if need be) let 2 teams other than Wisconsin go undefeated this year so that buy-a-qb badger doesn’t get into the BCS title game. Seriously, I don’t know if Jim Bolman is a virgin, but I am willing to sacrifice him for the greater good!! He probably is a virgin, I mean doubt he could design a game plan that would crack the sluttiest girls defenses!! And if he 'false starts' as much as his lineman do, he wouldn't get in the game before he was spent! His lady friends must have to use the wildcat formation alot!! Ok, I think i'm done and feel a little better.
5 – Auburn, this apparently is the other school besides Madison that Wilson looked at for transfer. Did they run out of money? Did his dad’s church not need a gold plated Jesus/Cross? I don’t get it, but Auburn seems to be getting their young guys to turn the corner and start playing better, what a concept?!!
4 – Arizona, picking zona on the road is maybe insane, but the beavers gave up 29pts to Sacramento St (no not a made up school). Arizona is not good, but can score and I think they will score bunches Saturday, so they will probably get shut out.

Speaking of hurting bad, nice picks by the field last week!! Wow, I only picked 3 games correct and stayed about same spot in the standings. Well, here is to a better week, which won’t happen because I’m the Joey Bauserman of the league.
10 – Oregon, way to schedule LSU first game of season ducks! What a stupid idea, you could have just played a joke schedule and then run through your joke league and be undefeated like the Badgers! Dumb assess!!
9 – LSU, well at the start I thought the gators were going to play with bama last week and then they got spanked. Playing in Baton Rouge against best defense in the country is not going to produce any better results. I will give Teddy Gator credit for being the most volatile, how red is my face coach in the college football!! Jerry Kill called and told you to take it easy he is worried about your health!!
8 – Michigan, was going to pick them anyway, but looks as if Persa won’t play or if he does be 100%. Plus, the winged helmets seemed to have got just enough defense to be good. Wait till Brady gets talent on that defense, scary… and so the rivalry pendulum swings.
7 – Va tech, All I have to say about this game is we LOST to this Canes team!! Really it happened, I saw’d it wit my own 2 eyez!!
6 – Oklahoma, Please football god, now that your punishment runs rampant upon buckeye nation, please please I beg of you (I will do human sacrifice if need be) let 2 teams other than Wisconsin go undefeated this year so that buy-a-qb badger doesn’t get into the BCS title game. Seriously, I don’t know if Jim Bolman is a virgin, but I am willing to sacrifice him for the greater good!! He probably is a virgin, I mean doubt he could design a game plan that would crack the sluttiest girls defenses!! And if he 'false starts' as much as his lineman do, he wouldn't get in the game before he was spent! His lady friends must have to use the wildcat formation alot!! Ok, I think i'm done and feel a little better.
5 – Auburn, this apparently is the other school besides Madison that Wilson looked at for transfer. Did they run out of money? Did his dad’s church not need a gold plated Jesus/Cross? I don’t get it, but Auburn seems to be getting their young guys to turn the corner and start playing better, what a concept?!!
4 – Arizona, picking zona on the road is maybe insane, but the beavers gave up 29pts to Sacramento St (no not a made up school). Arizona is not good, but can score and I think they will score bunches Saturday, so they will probably get shut out.
3 – TCU, ????????????????????????????????????????
2 – Iowa, the disappointment bowl, one coach who is close to death vs one coach who looks like he wishes he was dead. Another proud game for the Bigten to put on TV and say we are Legends and Leaders! Legend has it we used to be the best and Leaders, um well ah um ehh ahh um ehm, we will get back to you on that?
1 – Tennessee, they should win easy at home vs Uga, but who knows, their coach is hillbilly crazy and I never know what to expect with him!!
So there it is – another week, God is it Basketball season yet?!!

P.S.S. – When you are running next to the other teams WR and that flying brown thing is in the air, it is legal to jump and grab, swat, hit, anything it before the other guy does! Is Hollywood making a sequel called, shit ass talentless hack Db’s can't jump? Maybe you could get an LED display jersey where they change your number every play so the QB can’t identify where you are at, seriously my offensive game plan would be find #7 and throw it to his guy!!
