My new tattoo (almost)

Been over six years since my last tattoo, too many other things to spend money on I guess. But I knew when I found out I was going to be a dad that I was going to get new ink. Friday I did, well half of it, will have to go back in 6 weeks to get top half finished. Here's what it looks like so far...

Idea for writers of Criminal Minds

I'm at work, it's 4:30am, at the copier trying to rush a project and the inter-office speakers have on the standard office sunny 95. It is what it is, annoying crap music for the masses, guaranteed not to offend anyone (other than those of us with musical tastes) Having said that, they are again playing the extra irritating "Call Me Baby" song. All I can think is that be a great back round track for a chick serial killer episode of Criminal Minds. It makes me want to kill after 3 seconds.

Oh yeah iPhone rocks!! Loving the 'we know you can't spell tracker'. At least four words I would have butchered trying this on my old phone.

wk 5 college football picks

Well I’m still in second but a few points further from first; hopefully I can change that this week. Might be difficult because there are two ACC games, the buck’s game, so cal’s other rivalry - that I know little to nothing about.

Did anyone hear the news? The BigTen is BAD BAD BAD!!!!

The bucks are 4-0, but underwhelming with their performance. I can’t help the feeling though that there is a really good football team there, but it only shows up for about 4-5 series per game and I don’t know how a coaching staff can get that changed in a season with no post season to play for? If there is a coach that can figure it out, we have him and if not, imagine next year with more talent and more time?

In a little side NFL note, the browns are so bad they can’t even complain about replacement refs, all replacement refs could do would be to screw up in their favor.

On to week 5’s games…

10 pts – Uga wins, well I think Tenn showed in the fla game that they are better but not ready to compete for a whole game and Uga has not screwed me yet this year and this might be the game they do, but I bet this is game most people have as their 9 or 10 point game, so hopefully should be ok.

9 pts – WV wins, well they have an amazing QB who in my vote is the front-runner for the Heisman. Baylor is ranked and big 12 competition should be a step up from bigeast powers like syracuse and uconn (ha), but playing in “French fried tatters uh huh” land is worth a 10 point advantage before the game even starts.

8 pts – Stan wins, I know Thursday night on espn is where ranked teams go to die, but if they don’t crush the huskies? Well I don’t know, but that would just be awful and I can’t see a scenario where that happens.

7 pts – Illnois wins, a bigten winner pick this high, I ought to have my head examined, but dammit Illnois! Pedi state is not good and you better beat them at home! Pedi state non-conference schedule was bad enough that the dream of them going winless was unrealistic, but there is no team other than Indiana that shouldn’t beat Pedi state!

6 pts – Texas wins, um the longhorns are almost in the top ten for first time in a while, but I’m not sure if they are really that good or not, but I have a feeling they are best they’ve been in years.

5 pts – Miami (fl) wins, my stomach is sick, really I can’t believe I’m going to pick them this high, but I’m so less confident on the other picks that ignorance feels like bliss for sure with this pick. You know until I get the spreadsheet and everyone has NCST and I beat myself over the head with a 2x4! Fucking ACC teams…

4 pts – Va Tech wins, basically see previous pick and repeat all comments. Cincy though is missing B Kelly bigtime.

3 pts – Fresno St wins, I looked at the line and took the favorite. I can’t give a break down of these teams. Honestly playing football, well actually doing anything but going to the beach and trying to drill drill drill seems gay in a town like San Diego or Miami or Hawaii. I mean I understand football powers in Alabama; most of the girls are either very prudish or toothless wonders, but So Cal? Ehh, maybe when you grow up out there its old hat, maybe?

2 pts- Oregon St wins,  The first last second change of the year for me, I had zona down, but shutout by Oregon richrod? How’s that happen, I expected you to lose, but like 72-28, not 49-0! I know your back at home, but that is some tough Beaver (def) to penetrate! (El prez I know its not S. Carolina, but the wildcats vs beavers is a pretty good matchup every year)

1 pts – Bucks win, I don’t know where to start but Meyer really does have some magic ability to put a spell on people. Normally after 4 games of that defensive performance and an explosive but inconsistent (and more troubling penalty prone) offense would have me on a bridge with a note, a 6 pack and some grits! But for some reason I see the positives, like Roby looking like one of the better DB’s in a long time to play at OSU, a QB where the sky is the limit, a offensive line that at times is really moving people off the ball and has a bit of nasty. And an offense scheme that says if we make right choices we should take it to the house, quickly and often. Having said all that, sparty is probably best team in the bigten despite not really having a qb yet and it’s on the road. I bet most others will have sparty winning and pretty high in points value and rightfully so, but I just have a feeling that getting on the road, getting “healthy” (aka no more excuses now that the real teams are on the schedule) and getting in bigten play will get this teams attitude and performance to match their talents, hopefully! If not it could be long afternoon. Also, with sparty being one dimensional on offense, that means a loss would be at the expense of an Biakabatuka (shaking in pain at that name) like performance be a local (groveport) traitor err kid. We shall see, I really hope I’m right on this one and am rewarded for not letting my buckeye paranoia change this pick.

Second place and moving up, do I see first in my sights? Maybe, of course I might go 1-9 this week and be in last.

Weekly update – Big Ten BAD BAD BAD!!

This weeks picks –

10pts – Oregon wins, If richrod takes Zona in to nikeville and upsets the ducks look for some UM alumni/fanatic to kill him. (and rightfully so)

9pts – Uga wins, really I should have my head examined making this my 9pt game, but uga be looking good and at home. Please don’t screw me over Uga, please!

8pts – FSU wins, another game that I should have lower, but damn I feel like these games are more predictable than other games. The Noles defense is sick and being at home they should win even if it is close, plus if free shoes U goes all ACC on us, than we are looking very seriously at a bama vs lsu/florida all SEC unwatchable championship game again this year.

7pts – Okla wins, this is another team with a shot to break the SEC strangle hold on the title, but just don’t know if they are really good or not. Should know more after this game, Kst is good, not great but good. Think again home field will be big in this game.

6pts – S. Car wins, I don’t know, home team again? Ole ball coach? Mizzu not real SEC yet/ever? Actually you will notice I picked all home teams this week.

5pts – ND wins, well when you get to play 3 bigten teams you ought to start off the season well. Actually if not Denard, this would be my 10pt game. That ND defense is pretty good, I think, but who’ve they played and who will they play till Oklahoma or USC? I heard that was ND’s first win over a top ten team in a decade and that was a BigTen top 10 team, so does it really count?

4pts – Boise St wins, blue field victory is the difference.

3pts – Minnesota wins, I’m picking goldie? I don’t know what I’m doing, but I have this home field thing working this week and the cuse barely beat Stoney brook (Sp?) last week, but then again they played Trojans close, but that was at home? I have no idea, god all of college football is Schizoid!!

2pts – UCLA wins, the bruins might be kind of ok? Anyone would have guessed the bruins would be undefeated later in the season than the Trojans?

1pt – ASU wins, even matchup, don’t know much about teams, going home team!!

So there it is, my brilliance for another week, I will have to think of some special and ridiculous way to celebrate if I do the impossible and grab first place.

wk 3 college football picks

Prepare for anything, after two weeks of the college football season, I am in a tie for third place and only 5 points off the lead! I believe I benefited last week from having the same picks as most people, but having my losses a lower point value – so can’t really say my picks were that great.

Weekly reminder to all – THE BIG TEN SUCKS!!!!

On to this weeks picks, may I do the impossible and go 10 for 10 and grab the lead, it would be nice to say I had it at least once.

10 pts – bama wins, lets make this clear, if Jesus came back to play qb and Mohammed was playing rb, with Zeus at wr and all different versions of the Hulk were playing offensive line for Arkansas and Ryan Leaf was playing qb for bama with Ken Yon Rambo at wr for the tide – YET – the coaching match up was Nick Saban vs John L. Smith… In that very unlikely scenario, I’d sell my kidney on the black market, move the points higher than spread to maximize my return/winnings and bet it all on Bama! John L. Smith would fucking make the Globetrotters a .500 basketball team!! Arkansas didn’t fire their coach because he was a liar and a womanizer and then thought “ya know bet we can get by ok with J.L. Smith” for real? I’m dreaming right? What in the name of Mike Brown/Randy Lerner/Dan Snyder were they thinking?

9 pts – Ga tech wins, Virginia almost lost to pedi U at home, actually if pedi U had got a girl from the soccer team to kick fg’s, uva probably would have lost to pedi U. I won’t have that, pedi U needs to go perfect 0-12 this year!!

8 pts – Bucks wins, breathe buckeye nation, I believe that ucf will prove to be a pretty good football team by end of the season. Now does that mean we don’t have problems? NO! We have issues, but we have some talent and an offense that can be very explosive. We need to sure up our assignments and limit mistakes and find some rb help, but I believe we will. As for cal, very good offense might make us sweat a bit, but that defense we ought to chew up! Let’s hope so, the wife and I are going to the game Saturday, so give us a good showing and Go Bucks!!!!

7 pts – Trojans wins, well they didn’t look great against the Cuse, but maybe those pretty boys from so cal were distracted by the thought of a tornado going through the stadium. The tree’s up north could pull upset, but I don’t think they will, I think Trojans are looking good for a run at the crystal ball this year. I bet they are even starting to get some of their payroll err swagger back.

6 pts – s. fla wins, sad to see the state U of New Jersey back to ehh football wise, but it is the truth and on the road I think s. fla wins easy.

5 pts – Mizzu wins, they might not be ready just yet for SEC regulars like Florida, but they should handle the sun devils at home.

4 pts – Toledo wins, ahh my wife’s Alma matte vs my “hazy” years. I have no dog in this fight, hell I never went to a game when I was there and I’m a buckeye fan, you know big boy football, so let the rockets win the cute pee wee football game. Uuuuu Teee as the fans cheer or something like that, go rockets? If there is a kegger contest, I’ll take bg for my 10 pt win!!

3 pts  -  L’ville wins, um they are ok and at home and NC is ACC football still, right?

2 pts – ND wins, doomer fans, if fg Jesus can pull you through to victory vs sparty, then you have an easy path to a bcs game and really only win against so cal from a bcs title berth, how’s that sound? Oh and sparty, the big ten has looked horrible, including that opening week luck out you had vs boise st, so better come to play and get some form of respect for the league. Funny thing is – even if you do people will say it’s more about ND not really being back than about you being good.

1 pt – Tenn wins, will find out if that passing game of the vols is the real deal or not, I’m thinking the home crowd will pull the vols to victory in this game and they need it, when was last time they won a big game against one of their big rivals?

Segment 6 picks

Well my chances of winning are dwindling, but i'm still alive, just need to have 10 top 5's to end the season (w/ a few wins). It can be done and in honor of the hailmary, i'll start the chase with last years champ and hope I can have a similar run this year.

Chicago - Smoke wins, Tony coming on and looking to repeat which wouldn't suck because it would mean another year of not winning for the 48 team.

Loudon - Gordon wins, well last year smoke barely got in and then won 5 of 10 to take the title. This year boy (old man) wonder barely got in the chase after a bad luck season. If they are out of bad luck, well maybe he'll make a run and Nascar will get back to back season's to show why they created 'the chase'.

Dover - Johnson wins, we can all talk till we are blue in the face, but the 48 team will be there and probably should be the favorite to win it all, if they end up winning again - this will be a for sure W.

Dega - Jr. wins, short of his recent success at Loudon being the sign of a break through victory at snoresville, dega is still the kids best shot at victory in first half of the chase and damn if he ain't due for some good luck and a victory at his best track! Come on team 88, have a dream chase and make the fans dreams come true!!

Charlotte - Kahne wins, that's right, if you have been paying attention you'll see i've gone all HMS picks (tony is basically a farm team for HMS) and i'm banking on the team that got all 4 teams in the chase and smoke will have what they always have, best equipment, drivers and crews money can buy.


Lastly as the chase begins let me say, next to the 88 team, i'm actually rooting for the blue deuce to win the chase for Dodge as they exit the sport (again). Hopefully, the fiat owned dodge people will find a way back in the sport sooner, rather than later, but probably not. Brad K is a special driver whom I like despite him being a winged helmet fan and a shitty beer sponsered driver. Next year when he becomes a ford driver, that will just be 3 strikes and you're out situation and i'll not be able to root for that team. Shame of it is I know a few people now that have new dodge cars and they are again making phat rides, just in time to abandon the best of american motor racing? What are they thinking, it may not be win on sunday buy on monday anymore, but there are still people that want a bad ass charger because it looks great, is a good car and their driver pedals it hard on sat night or sun afternoon. I'm a jr. fan so I go where he goes, but I like the dodge guys and they will be missed.

The dog is NOT adjusting to new sleep or lack there of schedule. We tried to tell him to go up without us, but he'd rather just look sad and make us feel guilty.

Art Modell is again moving further south and it's hot year round, but the joke is on everyone else cause he did get that trophy he wanted and Cleveland isn't even close to getting.

Week 2 college football picks

One week down and I’m only 5 points off the leaders, what a great start!! I’m not kidding, sadly that is a great start for me, I’m certain it will all fall apart this week. Oh and I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the best mid-major conference – nice weekend BigTen!!

Rest of the game good, better, even better, fuck yeah!!... I check to make sure no one jumped and all is right with the world again, yay!!

Reason we still hate sparty even though we like Dantonio… Classy, classy tweets from sparty players Sat night bagging on the winged helmet players for getting ‘prison’d’ by bama. Really? You do know you barely beat a brand new Boise St team at home, right? Oh and 4-5 years of being good after 4 decades of bottom dwelling doesn’t mean shit! And props to Dantonio for calling out his players as tool bags for doing such things.

Week 2 picks…

10pts – ND wins, golden domers might be close to what they claim to be every year – really good. This won’t really tell because well it’s a Big Ten team, but beating them bad would help and they will.

9pts -  ASU wins, umm Big Ten team on the road, duh

8pts – Kst wins, Miami of FLORIDA won’t get a freebie like last week, and you suck BC!!

Side note – did anyone catch the morons on the buckeye telecast say how most of Miami’s players were from Ohio so playing in the shoe was a big deal? Really jackass? Most of Miami of OHIO’s players are from Ohio? What are the odds of that? Dipshit!! And B10network celebrating 5yrs? Of what? Go 5 games of coverage that catches every play live and doesn’t make me feel like a Syphilitic Leper and then have a celebration!

7pts – Wisc wins, yeah I know big ten on the road, but badger will probably put it together and play better and win, but they still suck and if I’m wrong, sweet just another year of not going perfect for the badgers, which is actually a possibility for them just because they play in such a yuk conf where they have like 3 games to worry about.

6pts – Vandy wins, ahh n'western not going to be able to play like last week against an Sec team and win.

5pts – Uga wins, I don’t know why I do this to myself, but I guess I’ll never learn when it comes to thinking some teams are going to change, so I’ll say this is yr Uga surprises teams and competes for SEC title.

4pts – Tex A&M wins, Home team wins a close one and Florida fans start to realize more and more how much they will miss Meyer.

3pts – Utah wins, know nothing about this other than traditionally Utah is better and they are favored, so going with the numbers on this game.

2pts – Neb wins, please start laughing that yet again I’m picking a BigTen team to win on the road, but I can’t help think yes we are bad bad bad, but that just means we are still second best to only SEC, cause pac47, acc, big not so east all suck!!

1pt – Iowa wins, blah blah blah Hawkeye blah blah blah Ferentz blah blah blah rivalry blah blah blah big twelve joke blah blah blah whatever I suck at picks anyway…
