Today the US open starts at the most beautiful course in the world - Pebble Beach. Only comes around every 8-10 years and is a place where the real greats shine. Jacks won there tiger had the greatest blowout in golf history winning by 15 strokes over the field (thats like 3 more strokes than he's had mistress come forward!!) in the last open at Pebble. I was lucky enough to go there in the fall of 2000 month's after tiger's win. If you are ever lucky enough to go, even if you hate golf, go. It is one of the most breath taking places to visit, the 17 mile drive is outstanding, it is south of the main earthquake zones of SanFran and way north of smoggy LA. If I ever get Eastwood rich i'll move there, but until then another visit would be nice. So if you do like golf, watch and imagine a 107 yd hole where depending on the ocean breaze the best players in the world will play anywhere from a half wedge to a 3 iron!! wow!
